We need a proper centre forward.

What happens when Chicarito has one of his dubious injuries or viruses like last season, 67?

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
Antonio up top wouldnt be end of the world. Desperately need 2 new strikers though..

Gomez
Rondon
Antonio
Silva

Would take that

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
We desperately need another striker. Pea has his uses when we're in the ascendency but when under the cosh it's like playing with 10 men.

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
Yarmolenko can score goals him supporting Chich from thel left, Anderson, Fornals, Lanzini we need no other striker

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
Perhaps it will be better if we don't sign the likes of Gomes given the reception a typical Latin striker like Perez got from most of our fans. No wonder he's hardly got his bags packed to come anyway...

I can see Hernandez coming good this season. With the service he is going to get from lanzini , Anderson and the new guy.

After checking all the photos of the players in the Swiss training camp, I couldn't see anyone resembling Silva.

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
You could survive relegation with Yarmo and Antonio but you probably couldn’t push for Europe with them unless Yarmo pulls an Arnie.

I think Pellers is more ambitious than that.

Word is that Pellegrini has actually -believe it or not - seen enough of Jordan HUGILL to see him as the main backup striker next season. In Pelle we trust......

Worst case?
Jordan Hugill EOT

I have a sneaking feeling Marcus Browne will be used in some Pre Season friendlies as a striker

Couldn't stand Perez. Lazy arrogant cunt.

Arsenal fans said the same thing about Perez when we signed him.

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
Just stick Yarmolenko in the middle. He's a bit too predictable on the wing anyway. He could turn out to be another Arnautovic (before he went off the boil).

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
I don't think it's a coincidence that Lukas Perez was the first player another club hoovered up this summer.

Watching him on the park making intelligent runs, making space for himself and his finishing always made me think he was criminally underused. I actually think he's better than Hernandez, for us anyway.

This thread is a bit pointless though as there's no way we're not going to get at least one striker in.

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
I thought Hernandez was leaving a few weeks ago?

I’d have shot of him and Arnie, and with Carroll leaving that makes way for two decent strikers, but we probably don’t have the money for two quality strikers, and we would struggle to attract them.

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
Is Hernandez not being the player he thinks he is a good enough reason to not even put him in the squad?

There’s no way we’d sell Hernandez if we didn’t get anyone else in so worst case scenario we’ve still got Hernandez and he will will be involved.

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
Hugill just needs to be coached by Carlton, to reveal his inner Pele.

Probably

Re: Worst case scenario,no striker purchase
Absolute WORST CASE we chuck Bournemouth £40m and get Wilson. I think that’s our back up plan.
